Cultural highlights of Kathmandu valley (03 nights-04 days)
 

Kathmandu city situated at 1100 m above sea level surroundings of green hills and the stunned inspiring peaks of the Himalayas, the Kathmandu valley is the heart of Nepal and the focal point of any visit.   Kathmandu city is the first Kingdom of the Malla Dynasty also known as freak street during the hippie era in 60’s and 70’s.   Before Prithvi Narayan Shah’s unifying conquest in 1768, Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur were individual city states that vied for control of the valley. Today , each one traces of its days as a tiny Kingdom with Durbar (Palace) Squares , each  city filled with towering temples.  In Kathmandu the main attractions are the home of Living Goddess Kumari, Jagnath Temple and Kastamandap three storyed Pagoda Temple from where the name of the City Kathmandu originates.
Patan city lying  5 km / 3 miles away from Kathmandu city located just another side of Bagmai River.
. Patan also known as Lalitpur, is the city of fine arts, enclosed within 4 stupas said to be built in 3rd century AD, by Emperor Ashoka. You will see the Durbar square, the Patan Durbar which houses a bronze collection and the magnificent Krishna Temple of Shikhara style stone temple having 32 pinnacle is the most attraction.

Bhaktapur the third largest city of Kathmandu valley was founded in the 9th century, Bhaktapur “ City of Devotees” was the capital of the Kathmandu valley until the region was divided into three kingdoms.  It’s Durbar Square has magnificent Palace of 55 windows with rich and intricate wood craftsmanship. The golden gate, Nyatapola the tallest Pagoda temple in Nepal, potters square are some interesting sites to visit.

 

Day 01:   Arrive Kathmandu, upon arrival meet and assistance by our representative and transfer to hotel.  Check- in  to hotel. 
Overnight at hotel.
Day 02:    Full day visit of Pashupatinath Temple ,Boudhanath Stupa and Bhaktapur city.
Overnight at Hotel (B).
Day 03:  Full day visit of  Kathmandu city,Swayambhunath Stupa and Patan city.
Overnight at hotel (B)
Day 04:   Transfer to  airport to connect flight home (B)
